What is your story and how do you want to change it?

Storytelling is very much “de rigeur” these days in digital marketing. Recently I have been shopping around for someone with a more customer friendly approach and my brother introduced me to the fantastic digital marketing company “Storyteller design”. Their home page immediately drew me in with a cover photo of a bunch of happy campers on a beach around a cosy camp fire and heart warming, arty photos the owner displays as his hobby. I felt at home immediately and the personal approach really spoke to me.A welcome relief to the not so customer friendly approach, prying on people’s fear with a busy and high tech cover of a seemingly fantasmagoric and never- ending concrete jungle, with the question “can your business really afford not having a website these days?” ominously screaming out in scary letter type by a rival company. This is in strong contrast with the first company’ s strap line, which invitingly states: “Let us help you tell your story.” Maybe this is just personal preference, but the first mentioned company really spoke to me, where the second just left me feeling a bit depressed and confused.

Then, as often happen when one focuses on a certain subject, An ad on face book caught my eye; A company called “Storymatters” advertised 4 free master classes on why one should understand your client’s story to be successful in online marketing and how you should be able to have empathy with your client (“the hero’s”) story and help him to identify and address pain points so that he will really feel that you care about him and change his story to follow an improved journey with the help of your product. The last class touched on how you should build a digital marketing funnel that really works and draws your client in to buy your product. ( To make a long story short- it is really worth watching these videos and real value.)

Of course this started me thinking about my clients and how life coaching helps every “hero” client to change limiting beliefs and habits that are obstructions on their journey to greatness. How the universal truths and excellent coaching tools can help every one to reach all their goals, make their dreams come true and help them to fulfill their unique purpose by finding their true identity (Who does the client want to become more of?) and live out the core values that will help that person reach success.Life coaching makes personal transformation possible and empowers clients to live their best lives. Not as tragic Greek heroes but as people who have discovered the skills inside themselves to become legends and winners and have a happy story to tell.

The more someone lives in alignment with their true identity that enables them to be authentic and fulfill their purpose, the easier their story will flow from one great goal conquered to the next. Clients turn into plan makers, the true heroes of their life stories when they realise that they never have to be victims, but that taking full responsibility in every area of their lives truly empower them. When they get a new perspective and focus by choosing to install positive beliefs and habits to help them write new stories for their lives.
